Shipping:How much will it cost to ship my yurt?Yurt shipping costs depend on many factors including your shipping location, size of your yurt and options selected. Your yurt will usually be shipped from our shop 4-8 weeks after you place your order. Time in transit may range from 2-5 days in the U.S. up to a month or more for some overseas shipments. Please call 800.288.3190 to get an accurate ship date based on our current production schedule. Back to top How will you ship my yurt?We generally ship yurts by freight truck. The yurt components are protected by crates which may be removed from the truck by a forklift you provide or dissasembled with a cordless screwdriver. Once the crate is disassembled, the yurt components can be removed piece by piece. It is helpful to have at least two people and a couple of cordless screwdrivers available during this process. When your yurt is shipped we provide you with tracking numbers and the phone number for the trucking terminal so you may get a better idea of your delivery time. Back to top Can I pick my yurt up at The Colorado Yurt Company?You may pick your yurt up at The Colorado Yurt Company providing you have an adequate vehicle to transport the yurt. We are required to collect Montrose city taxes on your yurt if you pick it up directly from us. In most cases, when all costs are considered it is less expensive if we ship the yurt to you.
