Tipi Ozan Details

  • Fabric - The ozan is constructed of flame resistant, 13 ounce per square yard Sunforger material. This 100% cotton army duck, marine boatshrunk fabric is water and mildew repelent.
  • Extended Ozan - Exclusively from Earthworks Tipis. An extended ozan reaches all the way to the front of the tipi on a pulley system. When you don't need the extension, roll it up and tie it off so it functions as a standard ozan.
  • Ties and Ropes - All ties are heavy weight. Rope is provided for tying the ozan to the poles.
The liner forms an inner wall in the tipi, the ozan acts as a partial ceiling and tucks behind the liner to funnel moisture out The smaller end of the ozan ties to the poles so that the ozan partially spans the tipi - an extended ozan spans all of the tipi The wide end of the ozan drapes in behind the liner and sheds water that may come in through the smoke hole The extended ozan in the upper left of this photo is pulled back to allow smoke from the fire pit to escape
